Mr. Luther Wright Guy, age 92, of Memphis TN, formerly of Cherokee County, passed away Wednesday May 14, 2008 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday May 17, 2008 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on 273 with Rev. Alan Copeland officiating.
Survivors include a son, L.W. (Bettian) Guy, Jr. of Chattanooga, a daughter, Jean (Ray) Guy Strong of Memphis, 5 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Vince Lee Guy and Missy Wright Guy and his wife Marie Guy.
Mr. Guy was a native Pike County Mississippi was a veteran in the US Army. He graduated from Mississippi State and was a civil engineer. Mr. Guy was of the Baptist faith.
Pallbearers include Ray Strong, Ben Strong, Mike Patterson, Terry Chance, James Clark, Brain Ramsey, and Guy Strong.
