Three strikes and you’re out – at least when Dekalb County authorities are playing umpire.
DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies recently went to a residence on County Road 405, in the Boaz area of DeKalb County to serve warrants on 29 year old Edward Holmes Dover.
Those warrants were issued by the grand jury in January on the charges of manufacturing and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Upon their arrival, deputies saw Dover in a shed behind the residence; when he saw the deputies, Dover ran around the back of the building and in a moment of inspired creativity, decided to hide underneath it.
After placing the suspect under arrest, deputies noticed a number of items, commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
The drug task force was notified and those items were confiscated, along with three one-pot meth labs that were located in and around the building.
In addition to the grand jury warrants, Dover was charged with another count of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center, where he remains on $70,500 bond.
