According to Floyd County Police anyone who got a ticket from a Floyd County Police Officer between January 1st and January 20th of this year will not have to pay their fine.
Necessary paperwork was lost, and the county`s radar certification was not renewed.
Without the certification officers were not supposed to pull anyone over using their radar devices
Major Mark Wallace, Information Officer with the Floyd County Police Department said that the notice from the state was apparently lost in the mail and the department did not get it in time.
Once the proper paperwork has been resubmitted and is in the state`s hands Floyd County Police Officers will be given a verbal go ahead to start issuing tickets.
