CEDARTOWN WOMAN FACES VEHICULAR HOMICIDE CHARGE

A Cedartown woman faces DUI and vehicular homicide after an ATV accident over the weekend.
Charges of vehicular homicide and DUI have been levied against a Cedartown woman after an ATV accident that claimed the life of a Cedartown teen.
According to reports, 13 year old Emily Clackum was pronounced dead at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night at Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital in Atlanta.
Officials of the Georgia State Patrol say that Clackum, along with 28 year old Tiffany Dawn Greer were riding on a small unpaved road off of Akes Station Road in the southwestern corner of Polk County.
Apparently, the ATV Greer was driving lost control on a curve and hit a ditch causing both Greer and Clackum to be ejected.
Clackum was airlifted to Atlanta while Greer was taken by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center in Rome were she was treated and released.
Greer faces charges of DUI, homicide by vehicle, driving an off-road vehicle on a public road, and driving too fast for conditions.
