FLU SEASON IS UPON US.....TIME FOR THOSE SHOTS

Its hard to believe that its time to start thinking about flu season. In fact, health departments are already making the vaccine available to the public.
All 6 county health departments in the Alabama Department of Public Health Area 5 received their supplies Friday and can administer the vaccine as requested to residents.
Health officials want to make sure the public knows that there is something different about this years vaccine. Its too early to tell whether this will be a severe flu season like in many years past.
However, health officials say everyone 6 months and older should receive the vaccine. For more information about the flu vaccine you can call your local health department or log onto adph.org.
