Calhoun County authorities have arrested an Anniston man on charges of Violation of the
Community Notification Act.
47 year old Timothy Bassett, is being held in the Calhoun County Jail - pending a bond of
$5,000; he has a court date of September 16th.
He was taken into custody after changing his residence without first properly notifying law
enforcement as required by law.
Bassett was convicted in 2001 of both Sexual Abuse 1st Degree & Sodomy 2nd Degree -
involving a 9 and 14 year old female.
