ONE PERSON ARRESTED AFTER ELUDING DEPUTIES

One person was taken into custody this afternoon after eluding authorities in a chase which began in DeKalb County.
According to reports Deputies in DeKalb County were in pursuit of a possible burglary suspect on Alabama Highway 35 heading into Cherokee County.
Deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriffs Department were dispatched to assist according to reports weve received the suspect was also driving a stolen vehicle and has outstanding warrants in Cherokee County.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center.
