REDSTROM CASE ENDS IN MISTRIAL

A mistrial has been declared in the case of Kevin Redstrom, who was accused of being a co-conspirator in the Mario Armas drug trafficking and money laundering ring.
The mistrial was declared in federal court in Rome earlier this week, when according to reports, the jury was deadlocked 10 - 2 for acquittal on the Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana charge and 8 - 4 for acquittal in the Conspiracy to Launder Money charge.
Assistant U.S. District Attorney Lisa Tarvin said at this point its too early to know what the prosecution will do next.
Redstrom will remain free on bond.
