JACKSONVILLE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDER

A 47 year old Jacksonville man charged with murder, entered a guilty plea last Friday.
Timothy Gerard Crump was taken into custody on October 14th of last year, after being released from University Hospital in Birmingham.
At that time Crump was transferred to the Anniston City Jail.
The murder charge stemmed from an October 10th auto accident which killed 57 year old Mayo Yates. Crumps Ford Explorer collided with her Ford Crown Victoria between the Royal Inn and the number 1 China Buffet, on Alabama 21.
Yates was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of blunt-force trauma to the abdomen.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for June 25th in the courtroom of Circuit Judge Brian Howell.
