SEVERAL FACING DRUG CHARGES IN DEKALB COUNTY

Dekalb County Drug Task Force Agents and Sheriffs Deputies, along with officers from the Hammondville, Mentone, and Valley Head Police Departments recently executed a search warrant on County Road 1000 in the Valley Head area, at the residence of Heather Ashley Dulaney and Amanda Catherine Gentry.

There were seven people present at the time of entry: Dulaney and Gentry, both age 20; 18 year old Brooke Kidron Morris, of Valley Head; 18 year old Christopher M. Gregory, of Hammondville; 21 year old Andrew Thomas Smith, of Valley Head; and two 17 year old male juveniles. Officers found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and several cases of beer on the premises.

Dulaney, Morris, and Gregory were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and also Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Beverages; Gentry was charged with Illegal Open House Party, along with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Beverage; and Smith was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 6 counts of CHINS/Causing Delinquency of a Minor.

The adults were all transported to the Dekalb County Sheriffs Office, and after officers contacted juvenile authorities, both 17 year olds were released to their parents.

Dulaney, Morris, and Gregory have been released on $4,500 total bond; Gentry has been released on $6,000 total bond; and Smith remains in jail awaiting setting of bond.
