APRIL DRUG ARRESTS IN ETOWAH COUNTY

Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit Commander Rob Savage said that drug arrests in the area during the month of April, were about evenly split between crack cocaine and methamphetamine, with some 90 cases being worked, including 12 trafficking cases.
One arrest netted about half a pound of meth, with an estimated street value of $20,000.
Savage said there were also three arrests for the Unlawful Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, for meth, adding that at least 17 meth labs have been seized so far this year, thats compared to six all of last year.
