10% WATER REDUCTION PLAN IN ROME SCRAPPED

Rome and Floyd County will not be required to reduce its water consumption by 10% each month, but otherwise, the state says that water conservation is still critical.
Water and Sewer Director Lee Ross says the city expects to petition for an exception to the Level Four Restrictions as soon as the state sends out the paperwork.
Rome draws from both the Etowah and Oostanaula and is seeking federal funds to switch its primary intake to the Etowah.
