LEESBURG CITY COUNCIL MEETING

During the Monday night meeting of the Leesburg Town Council, Council Members adopted a resolution for a matching funds ADECA grant for the police department.
Police Chief Lanny Ransum commented, saying that this grant would be used for the purchase of a four wheel drive vehicle, which would aide the department when its necessary for them to travel off-road during special operations, such as recovering stolen property in wooded areas.
In other business, a resolution was adopted setting sewer fees at $750.00 with a $100.00 fine for illegally obtaining sewer.
Also adopted was a sewer project grant for the areas of Park Street, Lokey Street, and JT Mackey Street.
In closing comments, Mayor Ed Mackey stated that the Leesburg Fire Department should be receiving its new service truck in approximately 3 weeks.
