VEHICLE FLEES SCENE OF ACCIDENT

An unknown vehicle fled the scene of an accident Wednesday morning on I-59 in Dekalb County, leaving behind two injured parties in another vehicle.
According to the Alabama State Troopers Post in Jacksonville, both the driver, 28 year old Ft Payne resident Samantha Goldthreate, and passenger, Angel Hawkins, age 25, traveling in a 2001 Kia, were injured.
No description of the vehicle that fled the scene was available.
That accident took place at 10:10am on I-59 at the 205 mile marker and is currently under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
