LARGE METHAMPHETAMINE DRUG BUST IN GEORGIA

Late last week several law enforcement agencies from the Coosa Valley area arrested six subjects as a result of a three-month long investigation for drug charges. The operation culminated with the seizure of more than four pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine, six vehicles, six firearms and numerous forged documents.
The Bartow - Cartersville Drug Task Force, along with Agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Polk County Sheriffs Office, the Polk County Police Department, and the Cedartown Police Department assisted in the investigation.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap and Police Chief T.N. Culpepper, undercover Agents began purchasing quantities of Crystal Meth from a Hispanic subject in the Cartersville area. During the course of the operation, the undercover Agents negotiated a deal to include the purchase of approximately four (4) pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine from this same suspect.
This investigation eventually led agents to a residence located at 265 Chestnut Street, in Cedartown, Georgia. The arrests occurred in Cedartown.
The Crystal Methamphetamine had an estimated street value of $56,000.
The following suspects were arrested and housed and the Bartow County jail and the Polk County Jail pending bond hearing:
Roberto Cisneros-Chavez, 27 years old of Rome, was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine;
Jose Manuel Reyes-Cervantes, 23 years old of Cedartown, was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine;
Esteban Pacheco-Pineda (PAH-CHEK-O / PAH-NED-AH), 22 years old of Cedartown, was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony;
Humberto (UM-BERTO) Hernandez-Pineda, 26 years old of Cedartown, was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony;
Jose Chavez-Martinez, 30 years old of Cedartown, was charged with two counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine;
and
Jesus Chavez-Martinez, 30 years old of Cedartown, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana (Less than one ounce), and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
Authorities stated that the investigation is on-going and more arrests are possible.
