CHEROKEE COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

The Cherokee County Commission met in regular session on Monday evening, at the Administration Building in Centre.

The commission approved the HRRR Safety project, as awarded bid by the Alabama Department of Transportation, to the Ozark Stripping Company, with a required county match of $5,979.00.

During the relatively short meeting, the Commission also appointed Theresa Fry to the Human Resources Board to complete the term ending September 2013, that, due to the resignation of Betsy Maple.

In other business, a resolution was adopted honoring the 2007-2008 Spring Garden Lady Panthers for their outstanding season.

An adoption was also approved, declaring April 21st through 26th, as Cherokee County Cleanup Week.

Excess land redemptions were given to Olene McDaniel in the amount of $161.60 and to Michael and Terry Tucker in the amount of $193.10

The next meeting of the Cherokee County Commission will take place on Monday April, 14th at 10:00am.
